The Xbox Series X/S version of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has launched with enhanced visuals, DirectX ray tracing, a resolution mode, and more. Hellblade 2 will be developed using Unreal Engine 5 and was revealed at E3 2019. Since the game's launch, Microsoft has acquired Ninja Theory and has revealed Hallblade 2 as one of their first major Xbox Series X/S console exclusives. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was released in 2017 as a PlayStation 4 console exclusive, arriving on PC on launch day and later on Xbox One and Switch. While gamers on PC and Xbox Series X/S wait for Hellblade II: Senua's Saga, Ninja Theory has taken some time to upgrade the original Hellblade to take advantage of Microsoft's latest consoles.
